A group of fourteen workforce leaders convened to elevate employer leadership within public workforce systems.
The Cross-State Collaborative on Future-Ready Talent Systems brought together fourteen workforce practitioners from sector intermediaries, registration agencies, employer-led coalitions, policy organizations, academic research, and state workforce systems. The collaborative met regularly, working to develop a shared case for employer leadership in workforce development.
The body of work on this site is the result of that collaboration. It draws on the collective field experience of the members, the specific case-study evidence they helped develop, and the structural analysis that emerged from the group's discussions. The arguments made here are grounded in their work; the writing was synthesized and drafted by the co-leaders on the collaborative's behalf.
Fourteen practitioners across sector intermediaries, employer-led coalitions, policy organizations, philanthropy, academic research, and state systems.
With thanks to the Livelihood Impact Fund for the seed funding that made this work possible.
Their support enabled the convening of the collaborative, the synthesis of the body of work presented here, and the continued development of the resources that will follow.
This work was convened and synthesized by Ashley Carter of Pathfinder Strategies and Kelly Vedi of The College Board. Site authorship, content, and ongoing maintenance are the responsibility of Pathfinder Strategies on behalf of the collaborative.
